Product Description
Sapper wire — is a specialized type of cable product designed for blasting.
It transmits pulses of direct current, up to 1 kV, and alternating current up to 380 V. The wire is applied in the field to provide electrical signals to the appropriate devices, usually EDP electrodetonators using explosive machines such as CPMs and their modern counterparts.
It is also used to power mechanisms and devices located far from sources of electrical energy.
The SPP-2 wire consists of:
– copper multi-wire current-conducting core of the 4th flexibility class with a nominal cross-section of 0.5 mm2
– insulation made from a light stabilized low pressure polyethylene (HDPE) composition of a nominal thickness of 0.65 mm
Isolated veins twisted with a pitch of no more than 100 mm. 700 km of wire was delivered.
